A commitment to diversity recruiting does not mean compromising important hiring standards. By making it easier to identify and engage a talented and diverse workforce, we hope to establish long term relationships with top-level candidates and the companies that have made the strategic decision to incorporate diversity in their employment practices.

MinorityMBAs.com, an online career community connecting high-performing minority MBA professionals to hiring managers committed to diversity recruiting, is awarding five $2,000 scholarships to minority MBA students in their second year of study at an accredited business school. Participants must complete the online application by September 30, 2009, and recipients are contacted on October 16, 2009.
This is the first scholarship program sponsored by MinorityMBAs.com, explains founder and CEO Owen Griffin. "Our goal is to make it an annual program that showcases a group of our most talented members - MBA professionals looking for challenging career opportunities. My hope is that as our base of talent and corporate partners continue to grow, we can increase the level of support we provide year-over-year as well," he says.
The scholarship program is indicative of the site's two-pronged mission to provide both a portal for high quality diversity recruitment of experienced hires and to support the advancement of future business leaders.
Griffin explains that this dual focus, he hopes, will encourage companies to thoughtfully consider renewing or enhancing diversity recruiting activities at the MBA level. "A commitment to diversity recruiting does not mean compromising important hiring standards. By making it easier to identify and engage a talented and diverse workforce, we hope to establish long term relationships with top-level candidates and the companies that have made the strategic decision to incorporate diversity in their employment practices."
