Jenzabar's Non-Traditional System will allow us to merge our non-traditional operations onto a single database and significantly increase the level of service we provide to students, faculty, and internal offices
Boston, MA (Vocus) September 15, 2009
Jenzabar, Inc., a leading provider of software, services and strategies for higher education, announced today that Hofstra University Continuing Education has selected Jenzabar's Non-Traditional System (Jenzabar NTS) administrative software to handle the University's growth in non-credit enrollments. The Jenzabar solution also provides the tools for a stronger analysis of the University's continuing education programs.
As non-credit enrollments grew, Hofstra University Continuing Education sought a robust product that was flexible enough to handle the unique registration needs of the hundreds of workshops, seminars, conferences, lectures, events and courses it offers to adult learners. They chose Jenzabar NTS for the technology's flexibility, as well as the capability it offered to distinguish non-traditional students and communicate with them more effectively.
Jenzabar's Non-Traditional System will enable Hofstra University Continuing Education to streamline business processes, enhance constituent service, and measure financial contributions for non-traditional and continuing education programs. Students will receive more personalized service based on their interests and demographics. Jenzabar NTS will lead to greater efficiency among administrative offices at Hofstra, and faculty will utilize the system to better understand each student and determine a suitable means of interaction.
"Jenzabar's Non-Traditional System will allow us to merge our non-traditional operations onto a single database and significantly increase the level of service we provide to students, faculty, and internal offices," said Colleen Slattery, Associate Executive Director of Continuing Education at Hofstra University. "Hofstra plans to utilize the software to help us manage enrollments and reach our key retention goals."
Hofstra University, based in Hempstead, New York, is a private school that offers 150 undergraduate and more than 160 graduate programs with a total enrollment of over 12,000 students. Hofstra University Continuing Education provides a broad range of classes, events, and symposiums in business, technology, personal enrichment, and community learning.
"The expanding continuing education market has been affecting the way both traditional and non-traditional universities and colleges worldwide are operating," said Robert A. Maginn, Jr., Jenzabar Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Jenzabar NTS will give Hofstra an innovative technology solution for increasing its operational efficiency, and make the higher continuing education experience easier for non-traditional students."
