The Internal Revenue Service Taxpayer Advocate Service (IRS TAS), an independent organization within the IRS whose employees assist taxpayers in resolving tax-related problems and hardships, has selected Aptify as its new Meetings and Events Solution.
Aptify will power all of the IRS TAS internal Meetings and Events needs. IRS TAS employees will be able to register online for mandatory training programs throughout the year. The Aptify solution will also be used to manage the IRS TAS annual conference.
IRS TAS will leverage Aptify's Application Lifecycle Platform to rapidly develop and deploy custom business applications for their internal users. Since the Aptify Application Lifecycle Platform is specifically designed to manage an upgrade path, all of the newly configured business applications will also transfer to new versions of Aptify when their Meetings and Events solution is upgraded. This inherent capability of the Aptify platform will allow IRS TAS to take full advantage of new features and technologies as they become available, assuring that even their internally built applications easily migrate forward in the coming years.
IRS TAS's choice of Aptify for Meetings and Events, coupled with the underlying Application Lifecycle Platform, will provide them with the capability to meet their current Meetings and Events requirements and to create solutions designed to maintain high levels of customer service and optimize efficiency within the organization. These tools will directly support the IRS TAS mission to help taxpayers resolve concerns and recommend changes that will prevent future problems.
IRS TAS first started their implementation in May, 2009 and went live at the end of June. The first goal for IRS TAS after go-live was to support their more than 2,000 users registering for their annual conference, which Aptify's Meetings and Events Solution allowed them to rapidly achieve. IRS TAS is now starting Phase II of their implementation, which will help to support their quality control department.
