The Browns have long since retired from their professional careers, but because of the faltering economic climate, their retirement savings have suffered. In response to slumping revenues from the Brown's beekeeping business, the couple has since shifted their focus from beekeeping to online shopping.
"For us, a shopping website just seemed like a reliable source of income that can help to bolster our retirement savings," said Kathryn. "But I also think we're the perfect people to own a shopping website because of our customer service experience," she added.
Hoping to make their website into a one-of-a-kind shopping destination, the Browns have created a new customer support blog at http://www.WillyBsStoreBlog.com.
"On the blog we'll be discussing our products in-depth, and providing all the details our customers might not find in our product descriptions." said Kathryn. "We each have our areas of expertise, for example, I might talk about hand cream, down bedding and fitness apparel, while Bill will focus more on electronics and dog supplies," she added.
The Browns also intend for their blog to function as an open forum for customer support. "I want to encourage people to ask questions and voice their opinions on the blog," said Kathryn. "The blog is really meant to be a place where people can come for information, read a review or receive clarification on a particular detail."
