Texas Digital Systems, Inc. has announced the completion of a digital signage installation at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN. The installations took place on-campus in the Morgan University Center as well as the Foy Fitness and Recreation Center.

Multiple LCD displays are used to show campus scheduling in facilities that are frequented by various student organizations and often used to administer educational courses in both facilities. The VitalCAST Content Manager interfaces with Dean Evans' EMS software to display the most current room schedules and information on LCD displays mounted in high-traffic areas.

VitalCAST gives campus administrators the ability to provide department-specific messaging alongside campus-wide messaging. Austin Peay would like to expand their digital signage network throughout campus and make VitalCAST a major part of their messaging system across all departments

"Our high-traffic zones that have implemented digital signage have already begun to see a positive influence on campus-wide messaging by grabbing the students' attention and making them more aware of schedules and events in the facilities that they use on a daily basis," said Andy Kean, Director of University Facilities at Austin Peay.

"We are very happy to be providing this digital signage solution to such a great university," said Dennis Davidson, President and COO of Texas Digital. "Our VitalCAST solution is a perfect fit in the university setting and becomes even more dynamic when it is paired with an effective scheduling software like Dean Evans' EMS event scheduling. We look forward to expanding this solution to universities across the country and making it a must-have for any facility in need of a messaging system."

Austin Peay State resumed classes for the fall semester at the end of August and sees their newly installed digital signage solution as a critical part in serving the student body and bettering the campus community.
