number 50 million students entering classrooms across the nation this year, six schools stand out from the crowd and were honored last night as winners in Intel's Schools of Distinction Award. The winning schools are:

To support the winning elementary schools, Pearson is donating DimensionM, powered by Pearson, an immersive, 3-D, multiplayer math video game; focusMATH, an intensive math intervention program that fits any Response to Intervention framework; and AIMSweb, a web-based assessment, reporting and data management system.
Pearson's donation to secondary schools includes DimensionM, AIMSweb; MathXL for School, an online homework, tutorial and assessment tool; and Algebra 1 Intervention program powered by EPIC, a comprehensive, web-based curriculum and assessment system that provides embedded intervention.
