Our merger with Q.Pro will allow us to rapidly expand our service capabilities and gives us the ability to directly provide the advanced NDE services in which Q.Pro specializes and our clients regularly demand as part of their asset management and inspection programs
Houston, Texas (PRWEB) September 18, 2009
Q.Pro Technical Services announced today that it had acquired Systems Conformance, Inc. (SCI), an industry leading provider of mechanical integrity programs and plant & vendor shop inspection services.
Ishmael Cruz, president and founder of SCI, will remain as president and general manager of the company. "Our merger with Q.Pro will allow us to rapidly expand our service capabilities and gives us the ability to directly provide the advanced NDE services in which Q.Pro specializes and our clients regularly demand as part of their asset management and inspection programs," he said. "We are delighted to be joining the Q.Pro team and Met Inc. family of companies, and feel that our combined organizations' core focus on mechanical integrity inspection and advanced NDT services will further enhance our ability to meet our customers' growing needs."
Richard Hilyard, president of Q.Pro, said "SCI has been in the mechanical integrity and inspection business since 1996 and has an outstanding reputation and service quality record here in the Gulf Coast refining and petrochemical markets, including an impressive list of blue chip clients. SCI fills an important role in our service offerings, which will allow us to further expand and compliment our mechanical integrity and asset management business, and provides us with the ideal platform to further promote and implement our corrosion-under-insulation (CUI) inspection programs. This is a very exciting and demanding time in the quality services industry, and we feel this is the right investment opportunity to further extend and expand our interests in the downstream, process market."
