Hauppauge, NY (PRWEB) September 17, 2009
IVCi, LLC (http://www.ivci.com), a leading integrator of high-definition video conferencing and telepresence solutions, audio visual systems, and managed conferencing services, announced today that it has formed a custom telepresence solutions (CTS) division. This department provides custom designed telepresence rooms utilizing TANDBERG's T1 and T3, Polycom's ATX, and Cisco's TelePresence family of products.
"We are proud to announce the formation of a business unit that provides customized telepresence solutions for our clients," said IVCi's president and founder, Bob Swing. "The CTS division was developed because many of our customers have special requirements, yet telepresence systems have traditionally been one-size-fits-all. The CTS team draws upon our audio visual expertise to help us meet each customer's unique needs." The CTS division conducts detailed needs assessments, designs custom solutions in conjunction with the manufacturer, builds the solution, and provides ongoing service and support.
"The newly formed CTS division has over the last 12 months completed innovative telepresence designs for many global Fortune 500 companies, and has installed custom telepresence rooms that address issues of room and audience size," said IVCi's EVP of sales and marketing, Charlie Macli. "For example, one of our custom telepresence systems was installed in a corporate training amphitheatre, and supports an audience of over 60 people - while preserving the Cisco TelePresence experience for all participants. The creation of the CTS division is a natural extension of our audio visual integration expertise, which allows us to continue to innovate and find new applications for telepresence." Applications for custom Telepresence solutions include those designed for business, education and government. Some of the custom applications IVCi can provide include virtual runways for clothing manufacturers, war rooms for government, and corporate training rooms.
Tim Hennen, IVCi's SVP of Audio Visual Integration, leads the engineering, project management, and installation teams for the CTS division. Mr. Hennen is an industry veteran, having created IVCi's audio visual (AV) division in 2000. Mr. Hennen's team has designed and implemented thousands of audio visual solutions for companies of all sizes.
