Northbound LLC CEO and co-founder Ms. Hetal Mehta has been selected as the winner of the 16th annual National Asian Entrepreneur of the Year award.
The award, sponsored by the Asian Entrepreneur Magazine, is given annually to honor the entrepreneurs, small businesses and Fortune 500 companies that have made an impact in the Asian Pacific American community. Ms. Mehta was selected as the winner in the technology category and will be presented with the award at the annual Asian Entrepreneur's banquet on September 18, 2009 at the Sheraton in Santa Monica, California.

Northbound is aligned with the US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC) and works extensively with Asian American suppliers. The company helps train its Asian American suppliers on such things as how to work with U.S. companies and helps these suppliers to become direct suppliers to clients.
Northbound believes very strongly in helping to educate members of the Asian American community, specifically women and students, on how to work with U.S. companies. The company offer training programs throughout the year that focus on such things as cultural differences in the workplace and on-site training on technical skills. In addition they offer programs designed to help Asian American students find employment in the U.S. For those students, Northbound helps teach these students how to apply for jobs in the U.S. and what skills potential employers look for in a new hire. In the future Northbound will offer these types of programs online so they can reach a broader audience.
