Norwalk, CT (PRWEB) September 19, 2009
Visual Integrity has released a comprehensive line of new PDF conversion tools aimed at non-commercial system integrators and developers. Designed to be robust yet affordable, the PDF Pro series is based on the same proven PDF conversion engine that serves as the foundation for the company's high-end, enterprise solutions, FLY Batch and FLY SDK. Licensing conditions enable organizations to use the tools internally use at significant discout. Products in the PDF Pro Series include command-line and server versions of pdf2image, pdf2picture, pdf2tiff, pdf2cad, pdf2svg and pdf2text. With prices starting at just $249 for a command-line implementation, the products compliment any integrator or developer's toolbox.
The products within the PDF Pro Series are designed to convert PDF into key industry-standard formats. The lineup features products with one or more output option aligned to a specific task. Using them, developers have advanced yet affordable options for transforming PDF files into Web-ready images, scalable vector graphics, FAX and archive formats or editable CAD files as part of an automated batch process or within applications. These products are complimented by a separate PDF text extraction module to drive search and indexing applications.
"With the rich and reliable base of technology that we've built over the past 16 years, we can easily respond to customer requests for toolkits that meet specific needs and make sense," said Jean Haney, president and co-founder of Visual Integrity. "We've been hearing a lot from corporate developers who appreciate the power and accuracy of our enterprise-level conversion engine but have tight budgets, so we're delivering them all the power of our high-end line with licensing conditions appropriate for their non-commercial use".
Each product in the PDF Pro Series is available for use from the command-line interface or via the API/SDK. Conversions can be performed directly on the command line, integrated in scripts using technologies such as ASP or Java, or invoked by a watch directory to instantly convert PDF-files when they appear in a folder. The SDK delivers proven, high-performance C/C++ libraries. Only two API functions are needed to integrate the conversion engine into an application. Both the command-line version and the SDK offer the developer a high degree of control over conversion options using the included intelligent configuration options. Custom development and integration assistance are available. All products are supported with an optional Advantage Support update subscription as well as the Priority Engineering Program for customers who require updates, patches or enhancements outside of the normal release cycle.
All products include documentation and examples. They are available for Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac OS X and are licensed by CPU, Server or developer. The products in the PDF Pro Series include:
