The Web Marketing Association has announced its 2009 WebAward Competition winners, and Enlighten was once again among the organizations recognized for their superior work in Web design and development. Three sites recently developed by Enlighten - HunterDouglas.com, John Frieda® Luxurious Volume (http://www.johnfrieda.com/luxuriousvolume/), and Masco Home Services Inc.'s Environments for Living® (http://www.environmentsforliving.com/), were awarded Outstanding Website WebAwards for receiving among the highest scores in the Consumer Goods and Construction categories, respectively.
Winning sites in the "premier annual website award competition" are judged on the criteria of design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting, and ease of use, with overall scores measured against both the industry average score and the WebAward average score. Of the Environments for Living site, which guides users through an exact replica of an actual 2,200 square-foot Environments for Living green home, one WebAwards judge heralded its "lovely design," saying "The more I looked, the more I liked." The Hunter Douglas brand site, which received a perfect "10" for its use of technology, compelled judges to call it "a very impressive site" and give it "high marks for usability, design and copy."

The Web Marketing Association's WebAward Competition is now in its 13th year and sets the standard of excellence for all website development. Enlighten was also the winner of two WebAwards in the 2008 competition, leaving its mark on the Consumer Goods category with a Best Consumer Goods Website win for the Ban® brand antiperspirant and deodorant site, and a Standard of Excellence Award for the Curél® Skincare site - both part of Kao Brands Company.
