Ergotron, worldwide leader of display mount and mobility point-of-care solutions, announces the release of StyleLink 6 Software with enterprise capabilities for global healthcare customers deploying Ergotron StyleView powered carts. Ergotron is committed to lowering the overall cost of healthcare by offering this industry-leading software free to StyleView cart customers. StyleLink's three-part software package offers broad system and platform compatibility, taking the heavy lifting out of power system performance management for time-constrained healthcare IT professionals giving them real-time centralized control over mobile computing deployments across multi-facility healthcare campuses, even globally.

The ability for healthcare professionals to monitor from an onboard or remote computer leverages diagnostic capabilities of IT, simplifying power management and reducing time to fix problems. StyleLink 6 helps hospitals extend the asset life cycle--from one cart to an entire fleet of carts.

"Anyone who has a fleet of carts to manage in a hospital will appreciate the power this new version of StyleLink software brings," said Steve Reinecke, global director of healthcare at Ergotron. "An IT administrator can now view every single cart in their organization instantly. This allows for quick and easy troubleshooting. More importantly, it allows an administrator to track how their assets are being utilized and gives a full 365 days of history of the use of the cart."

In addition to new features like Thin Client compatibility and remote enterprise monitoring across WAN, LAN or VPN to get real-time information on deployed carts, StyleLink 6 offers the ability to install StyleLink software on each cart simultaneously from one remote location using Microsoft Group Policy Management Console and Active Directory. Remotely configuring or changing email alerts, names, passwords and communication thresholds on each cart, or a group of carts, can be done with ease using MS Networks, ultimately reducing the Total Cost of Ownership on StyleView cart deployments, freeing valuable time for other key technology integrations.

"This is more than an IT administration tool. With this tool in hand, an administrator can drive proper behavior and educate users on the most efficient way to deliver mobile point-of-care," concluded Reinecke. "There is nothing like it on the market, and best of all, it is provided free to all StyleView cart customers."

In addition to all these features, customers will also have flexibility to customize views, either by Group View or by targeting only carts that meet specific rules (for example, Carts Unplugged, Carts Not Connected, etc.) via a Filter View.

StyleLink 6 is Windows XP/Vista compatible, and is reverse compatible with previous versions of StyleLink for existing StyleView cart customers. The software will be available for download to new and existing StyleView cart customers in mid September 2009 and is fully supported by Ergotron Technical Support, either in initial installation or ongoing software troubleshooting capacity.
