The contract, which will run through September 30, 2012 is an extension of the original three year JDPAC contract which was also awarded to Northrop Grumman's Information Technology sector.

During the term of the previous contract, LLamasoft's supply chain network modeling software, Supply Chain GuruTM, (http://www.llamasoft.com/Technology/SupplyChainGuru.aspx) was licensed by USTRANSCOM and used extensively for the modeling and analysis of military deployment and support logistics. With this new contract, LLamasoft technology and support services are formally included as a resource.

"Over the last few years, LLamasoft and Northrop Grumman have worked closely with US Transportation Command to successfully deploy our cutting edge simulation and optimization capabilities to address a variety of complex military logistics planning problems" stated LLamasoft President Donald Hicks. "We were thrilled to be selected by Northrop Grumman as a key technology in support of this new three year contract.
