New Video Teaches How To Cut Hair

More and more people are saying, "so long" to the salon and cutting their own hair instead and they're doing a better job than any barber or stylist. That's just one of the cutting remarks made by salon owner Steven "Woody" Woodham, who created the Cut Hair At Home Like A Pro video and book.

Hairstylist Steve "Woody" Woodham, owner of Haircut King Barber Shop and Princess Cuts Beauty Salon, in Prescott Valley Arizona, believes the timing is right for his new video, Cut Hair At Home Like A Pro. "I've always wanted to do the video as a follow up to my haircutting book and now with a tough economy and a possible flu epidemic I think a lot of people are willing to give home haircutting a try."

Motivated by the popularity of classes Woodham taught at Escondido (CA) Adult School, he explains, "I could see what beginners were having trouble catching on to. I tried to make it as easy to understand as possible."

From simple trims to complex layer and clipper cuts. Woodham demonstrates easy to use step by step directions for the beginner in this 75 minute special edition DVD. Woodham even includes tips for left handed.

"Most of the models in the video are customers from my shop except one girl, who is the teller at my bank. I even wrote a little jingle for the production.", says Woodham

Woodham's not worried that the increase in home haircuts will put him out of business. "There will always be a market for professional stylists," says Woodham, "Not everybody wants to get hair on their floor or has the time to pursue it."

The DVD is available for order at Woodham's site where you can also view the trailer of the video.
