Copetown Woods Golf Club is another example of how ScreenScape's online service and community is a fit for the promotion and marketing of events. We are thrilled that they can now connect with other golf clubs in the ScreenScape community and cross promote to an audience with similar interests.
Copetown, ON; Charlottetown, PE, Canada (PRWEB) September 24, 2009
Copetown Woods Golf Club has recently adopted the ScreenScape Venue Networking platform to promote PowerPlay Golf, a new nine-hole form of golf, where there are two flags on every green.
PowerPlay Golf is a 2-flag, 'risk and reward' format played over 9 holes. Golfers who register with the website win PowerPlay Dollars, which enables them to climb World Rankings and also to compete in thousands of user-generated Custom Leagues around the world.
"Beyond promoting our in house services, such as golf, our bistro restaurant, weddings and meeting facilities, we want to be able to provide our guests with up to date weather & news information. The ability to add both our in house services, plus current news & weather is a great way to keep our guests interests at the forefront. We have also become the First Official Powerplay Golf venue in Canada and are excited to be able to share information on this great new concept to our guests." said Barry Forth Golf Operations Manager at Copetown Woods.
The golf club will feature a number of screens running ScreenScape throughout the club house to promote their golf business, dining room, wedding facilities as well as information about Powerplay Golf such as the latest tournament standings and information on how to get involved.
Barry continued, "Powerplay Golf is an exciting new game of 9-hole golf and hugely popular around the world. It's in 18 countries and over 400 golf clubs. We are pleased to be the first venue in Canada to join, and pleased that ScreenScape will help us as we create more awareness around our club and in the ScreenScape community."
"Copetown Woods Golf Club is another example of how ScreenScape's online service and community is a fit for the promotion and marketing of events. We are thrilled that they can now connect with other golf clubs in the ScreenScape community and cross promote to an audience with similar interests." said Kevin Dwyer, CEO and President of ScreenScape Networks. "It's mutually beneficial for the clubs and their audiences."
About Copetown Woods Golf Club
Opened in June of 2003, Copetown Woods Golf Club represents not only one of the newest championship courses in south-western Ontario, but also one of the finest. Owner Gord Forth and his family have farmed the lands around the course for thirty years. The rolling landscape and naturally sandy soil made the location a logical choice for a golf course. The meticulous condition of the course and the yesteryear beauty of the Victorian-style clubhouse disguise the fact that Copetown Woods took only fourteen months to build.
ScreenScape offers an online service that makes it easy for anyone to create and operate a dynamic screen display in their venue. ScreenScape uses Internetworking principles and social media techniques to build collaborative marketing networks. Compared to traditional Digital Signage and Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) advertising technologies these networks of interlinking screen displays offer new opportunities for collaboration and commerce and at dramatically reduced costs.
