After two years of research, development, and testing, Solutions today announced the launch of The Accounting Library On-Line Edition, a comprehensive web-based program that helps end-users select an accounting system based on 700+ qualifying questions. In tandem with the launch of the application is a new look and feel for The Accounting Library's website, http://www.accountinglibrary.com. Both the website and application were developed by Hall Web Services of Portland, Maine, who are also collaborating on marketing and promotion of the new application.

"This was an incredibly exciting product to work on and we're very happy to announce its launch," said Fred Greenhalgh, Internet Marketing Manager at Hall, who worked closely on the project. "The Accounting Library On-Line Edition was built from the ground up to be uniquely suited for the web and surpasses the features of any web-based accounting software selection tool currently on the market."

Unlike its CD-based counterpart, The Accounting Library On-Line Edition is a free product for users. Interested users simply register using a web-based form and are immediately allowed access to the system, which consists of 700+ qualifying questions (versus the CD-Based Edition, which has up to 3,700 questions).

The most powerful aspect of the program is an online RFI that allows users to select from the list of 700+ questions which features best represent their functional requirements and indicate their relative interest in each requirement. Based on the answers to these questions, The Accounting Library On-Line Edition provides users with a list of prospective software matches. Users can then open a Product Web Page for the products in which they have an interest and learn more about each product as well as learn more about ISV solutions that integrate with each product. Finally, users can search for resellers in their geographic region and open a Reseller Web Page to learn more about each reseller.

"The RFI process has proven to help 3,000+ companies choose software for their businesses in the 20 years we've been supporting the CD-Based Edition of The Accounting Library," said Charles Chewning, President of Solutions. "The Accounting Library On-Line Edition makes the program accessible to a greater number of users, and provides unique value for resellers and consultants, who can now get listings in our online database and have qualified prospects contact them directly."

The new application can be reached at http://www.accountinglibrary.com/online/. Vendors, ISVs, resellers and consultants interested in listing their firm on the site should contact Solutions directly at http://www.accountinglibrary.com/contact-us.php
