GoodNites brand launched the contest this summer in order to give parents the opportunity to share how they make the most out of bedtime with their kids.
"Oftentimes parents can let nighttime issues get in the way of treasured nighttime rituals," said Craig Dunphey, GoodNites senior brand manager. "We launched this contest to help parents who struggle with nighttime issues, like bedwetting, put the focus back on what really matters at night and realize that the special few minutes shared with their child at bedtime can create lifelong memories."
Throughout the summer, moms and dads from across the country submitted their favorite bedtime tips, stories and routines for a chance to win one of two grand prize bedroom makeovers to transform their child's room into a magical space for cherished bedtime moments. Entries were judged on creativity, originality and relevance to bedtime.
Selected from more than 1,500 contest entries, Roberts' "Shadow Puppet Nights" and Fultz's "Stories about Bruce" entries won the grand prize $2,500 magical children's bedroom makeover. Roberts' shared moment was a story about making hand shadow puppets with his daughter, a bedtime ritual that brought, "lots of giggles, lots of snuggles and unforgettable memories." Fultz shared how her husband tells tales of an imaginary character, "Bruce," who encounters challenges at school: "these adventures mirror what our son is struggling with at his school, so he learns how Bruce handles things."
