Larson Electronics introduced a 240 watt 4 foot 4 lamp explosion proof paint spray booth light that can be positioned directly next to object being painted. Larger objects, like airplane fuselages need additional lighting from various angles to illuminate contours and crevices. While ceiling mounted lighting, like the Magnalight EPL-48-2L Class 1 Division 1 paint spray booth light will illuminate the work area and the outer surfaces of large, complex objects, the EPLC-48-4L cart mounted paint spray booth light can be positioned to illuminate dark areas easier using the 5 inch non-sparking casters at the base of cart.

Priced just under $3000 and equipped with an explosion proof switch and 50 foot SOW cord, this cart based light carries a UL Class 1 Division rating for flammable vapors and Class II Division 1 for explosive dust particles. The 4 foot 4 lamp, 240 watt light also carries a UL rating for paint spray booths, producing 16,200 lumens while taking standard high output T12 or T5 bulbs. Standard lead time for the EPLC-48-2L paint spray booth light for hazardous location areas is one to two weeks.

“Larson Electronics is developing more ways to help operators of paint spray booths of all sizes illuminate the painted object better,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics Magnalight. “Our EPL-48 and EPL-24 series of surface mounted explosion proof lights provide an economical means to illuminate the entire paint spray booth. By integrating our surface mount paint spray booth lighting into different types of carts, like the EPLC-48-4L, which is a horizontal style cart light or the smaller EPLDC-48-2L dolly cart style light, we can offer more flexibility and focus to the paint spray booth operator. We make all of our explosion proof paint spray booth lights here in Texas, so we can get our surface mount lights out within a few days and our cart mounted paint spray booth lighting in about a week. Our explosion proof lighting takes standard high output fluorescent light bulbs, including T12HO and T5HO. We even offer daylight color bulbs with specific color rendition for color specific painting or inspection requirements.”

Larson Electronics offers a wide range of explosion proof lighting, including surface mount and cart mounted paint spray booth lighting. Made in the USA, Magnalight’s line of explosion proof lighting is available to order with short lead times and affordable prices at or 1-800-369-6671.
