London, UK (PRWEB) September 27, 2009
Digital View, the digital display and digital signage hardware manufacturer, has launched itself into the Pro-AV channel with the announcement of a new distribution partnership with specialist UK technical AV distributor, True Colours Distribution Ltd.
Digital View, the company behind the 'ViewStream' range of digital media players has a reputation for providing reliable, cost-effective video systems for the pro-AV, museum, retail and digital signage industries. Digital View products deliver full screen media that can be simply updated by physical insertion of a CF card or USB stick - attractive for projects that do not require frequent content changes and are not budget reliant on expensive IT infrastructure and technical support. An upgrade parth allows for future remote connectivity as and when required.
Commenting on the deal, Richard Cobbold, managing director at Digital View, said: "With applications for specialist video solutions appearing in almost every market - Digital View has recognised the opportunity for our products in the pro-AV & IT sectors. We are delighted that True Colours shares our vision - and firmly believe that their experience and technical expertise will significantly enhance our presence in these markets'.
Dave Raymen, technical director at True Colours, said that the new appointment would be welcomed by customers - many of whom are asking for simpler and more reliable digital signage solutions. 'Many suppliers forget that most traditional media doesn't dilute its message with mulitple information areas, tickers & RSS feeds. These customers want systems that are easy-to-use, scalable and deliver video reliably without ongoing service fees.'
True Colours will initially be promoting two product sets. The ViewStream range of external small format player can sit on the back of any display and support resolution formats up to and including HD. The 'VideoFlyer' range incorporates a display screen with the option of touch screen functionality. A common software programme, DV studio, is included to allow the creation of simple timing schedules and touch screen programming. There is also an external button interface which allows content to be recalled from any external button or contact closure trigger. Control via RS232 is also possible.
Digital View is ideal for target applications, poster style advertisements, point of sale applications, retail branding and visitor centres. It is also suitable for end user applications that require content to be triggered via a switch, light sensor or PIR motion detector. True Colours is the first of a number of soon to be announced pro-AV reseller partnerships across the globe.
