Grand River announced today that it has been selected to redesign and re-platform the Michigan United Conservation Club website. The new site will include an open source content management system, Salesforce CRM build-out and integration and e-commerce functionality to drive new membership and product sales.

With almost 100,000 members, Michigan United Conservation Club (MUCC) is the largest statewide conservation organization in the nation. Grand River specializes in providing e-commerce solutions through branding, usability and technical build-outs. MUCC chose the Ann Arbor-based firm because of its brand and website development expertise as well as its ability to custom-tailor a site that will provide great usability for its members.

"Grand River brings strong e-commerce experience coupled with branding, design and technical integration skills," said Tony Hansen, MUCC's Chief Information Officer and Deputy Director. "Their ability to create and develop solutions that meet our unique member needs separates them from their peers. "The new site is being built on a content management system that allows us to manage a robust video library with daily updates. It also includes a Google Maps integration allowing our members to locate events. Both are essential communication tools for our members."

Scott Robertson, Partner and Cofounder at Grand River, looks forward to an ongoing partnership with Hansen and MUCC Executive Director Erin McDonough. "Erin McDonough and Tony Hansen are young, energetic leaders who are moving MUCC forward by engaging outdoors enthusiasts on the web," Robertson said. "They are making the transformation from television and magazines to a web-based model, which will serve them well in reaching a new generation of outdoors enthusiasts who look to the web first."

"MUCC's migration to a paperless, web-based membership option and system will not only streamline the process, it is a green alternative to a paper-based registration system, which is in line with MUCC's mission as conservationists."
