The Tax Cannabis 2010 campaign will kick-off its statewide signature gathering at a press conference this Friday, September 25 at 12:30 pm in the press room at the NORML (National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws) Convention at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in San Francisco. Speakers will include former State Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata, former Seattle, WA Police Chief Norm Stamper, Marijuana is Safer Co-Author Mason Tvert, and Tax Cannabis 2010 proponents Richard Lee and Jeff Jones. Speakers will discuss how voters are ready to change a failed system of cannabis laws, how cannabis is safer than alcohol, and the benefits of taxing and regulating cannabis for California.
