BridgeGate to Connect 142 Custom Applications and More Than 4,000 System Interfaces

Golden Living continues to be a leader in the industry because the company truly focuses on the fundamentals that help streamline operations and improve patient care. BridgeGate will work hard to ensure that our integration solution provides every Golden Living staff member and facility with flexibility, performance, interoperability and unparalleled visibility of information.

BridgeGate International, a leading provider of high-performance data integration and interoperability solutions, announced today that Golden Living, an integrated post-acute healthcare services provider, has selected BridgeGate's integration solution to be implemented as the company's enterprise integration solution.

Golden Living, like many healthcare organizations, has disparate software applications throughout its enterprise, including 142 custom applications and 4,000 system interfaces. Golden Living needed an enterprise integration solution to consolidate vast amounts of data from any source, in any format, and provide one, singular view of the organization's data. BridgeGate's integration platform will provide this robust, scalable and flexible integration solution to all Golden Living facilities.

In 2008, Golden Living selected BridgeGate to rapidly integrate patient and provider information throughout the company's 300 Golden LivingCenters (skilled nursing facilities). Since the initial project, the BridgeGate solution has been Golden Living's data translation platform, allowing data from one system to be passed transparently to another, no matter the compatibility.

"We signed an enterprise-wide integration deal with BridgeGate because of the results we achieved with their product in 2008. We realized immediate gains in productivity along with vastly improved data and process management," said Brad Savage, senior vice president and chief information officer. "In our business, data must flow across many platforms seamlessly, quickly and dependably. BridgeGate has proven to us that they deliver on this requirement. Our expanded agreement with BridgeGate allows us to effectively integrate our data and position ourselves to meet the massive changes to Healthcare IT standards."

To build upon the initial implementation, BridgeGate's easy-to-deploy, user-friendly integration platform will consolidate data from every facility, which will help improve Golden's ability to define, visualize, measure, control, report and improve its processes, and meet patient and organizational requirements profitably. BridgeGate's integration capabilities turn volumes of raw data into actionable information for Golden Living employees, which ultimately improves decision-making and patient care.

The new project will begin immediately. The first phase of the enterprise implementation will focus on employing BridgeGate's integration solution to connect and support all environments in all facilities, which will centralize data, enabling improved data management. With BridgeGate's patented integration solution in place, Golden Living's data exchange and processing transactions can be made quickly by business analysts, which will enable a better use of all resources and help align business and IT goals. As the Golden Living enterprise-wide standard for data transactions, the BridgeGate solution will:

  •     Extract all data from all internal and external sources
  •     Transform it to fit internal operational needs, while applying business rules and processes that didn't exist before
  •     Load it into the end target (database, data warehouse, or other system)

"We couldn't be happier to expand our strategic relationship with Golden Living," said David Adams, chief executive officer of BridgeGate. "Golden Living continues to be a leader in the industry because the company truly focuses on the fundamentals that help streamline operations and improve patient care. BridgeGate will work hard to ensure that our integration solution provides every Golden Living staff member and facility with flexibility, performance, interoperability and unparalleled visibility of information."
