The speakers for this innovative panel include Sean Ahern, Director of Development & Programming, Harmony Festival; John Phillips, Director of Sponsorship, George Weins Jazz Fest 55, and John Boler, VP Sales & Marketing, Summerfest.

Their presentation will provide insight on how to ink more sponsorships, sign multi-year deals, and solidify your selling strategy.

Sean Ahern has been an independent consultant for a variety of distinguished bay area organizations such as Bread and Roses, Lonely Planet Books, Earthdance, Solfest, and The Green Festival. He has produced a variety of albums, international concert tours festivals, and fundraising events with the members of the Rolling Stones, The Police, Cream, Black Sabbath, and Supertramp. Along with being the Program Director for the Harmony Festival, he currently serves as the Development Director for the World Council of Elders.

John Phillips has worked with many sponsors over the years, most notably as the executive in charge of the JVC Jazz Festivals worldwide and the Verizon Music Festivals in the United States. Mr. Phillips is knowledgeable in all aspects of concert presentation and music festival production, including sponsorship, contractual work, production, booking of artists, venues, advertising, publicity, finance, and administration.

John Boler has worked in media support roles as well as marketing consulting during his ten year career. He has worked for a variety of festivals including the All Good Festival, The Hookah Festival, and the Northwest String Summit. In 2002, he successfully launched Musical Earth, which is a boutique marketing and publicity firm that features a wide roster including nationally touring bands, music festivals, regional promoters, sponsorship, and more.
