Cerion Optimization Services, a leader in capacity planning and optimization services, has appointed Nick Shanker as its new Chief Executive Officer. Shanker has over 20 years of senior management experience in influential high technology sectors such as wireless and wireline telecommunications, as well as handling large-scale deployment programs.
Shanker played a pivotal role at Ericsson, as Vice President of Network Deployment and Technology Consulting Services. During his tenure at Ericsson, he oversaw all planning and deployment activities from design to optimization and managed one of the largest telecom supply chain in North America. Under his leadership, Ericsson took the leading position as equipment manufacturer and turnkey services provider.

Most recently, Shanker was the Vice President of the Fixed Broadband Program at Ericsson. In this role, he was responsible for managing all aspects of the company's readiness to deploy the FTTx and DSL product lines. Shanker is a graduate of the University of Houston where he obtained his degree in Computer Engineering.
