Monroe "Roey" Diefendorf Jr. Named "Fifty Around 50" Award Winner by Long Island Business News

The Long Island Business News selected Roey Diefendorf, CEO of Diefendorf Capital, Locust Valley, NY as a member of its inaugural "Fifty Around 50" Class of 2009. The group was comprised of 50 intelligent, hard-working and dynamic men and women selected for their contribution to Long Island.

At an awards celebration held at the Garden City Hotel, Diefendorf was inducted into the "50 Around 50" Class of 2009. The award recognizes and honors individuals for their leadership in business, support of professional and not-for-profit organizations and a commitment to the needs of the local Long Island community.

Honoree Diefendorf, a 57 year old Long Islander, has made contributions in the areas of both business and philanthropy. As a pioneer in the "total" wealth management profession, his book entitled, "3 Dimensional Wealth: A Radically Sane Perspective On Wealth Management" has expanded Diefendorf's influence throughout the globe. He has spoken to audiences of over 10,000 financial advisors from over 80 countries. On the local front, he has taken the family business (Roey is the 4th generation) into the "family office" arena.

Roey, along with his wife, Chris, "planted" an evangelical church in their living room. Today, the church (North Shore Community Church) has its home in Oyster Bay. A supporter of numerous youth ministries, Roey is a member of the Board of Directors of Long Island Youth for Christ.
