Mimimyne.com, the kids online eco store based in East London and retailing organic baby clothes, eco toys and funky kids furniture to help families grow up green, has been made a finalist in the Thames Business Gateway Awards (in association with HSBC) in the Green Business Award Category.
Entries for this category will be judged on their overall approach towards off-setting their carbon footprint. Sustainability concerns have never been more important for business and Mimimyne hopes to persuade the judges that it has a very well-developed environmental policy and is a showcase for sustainable design for children in the UK.
All small to medium enterprises based or operating in the South East London, East London, Essex and Kent area are eligible to enter the Awards each year. This years official awards ceremony will be held at the Troxy in East London on Friday 6th, November. All finalists will be invited to attend the ceremony where the winners for each category will be announced. Each finalist will receive a certificate for their achievement as well as substantial publicity. Winners will go on to win a share of the £100,000 in Marketing and PR spend as well immeasurable exposure from one of the UK's leading independent publishers.
In other news, Mimimyne has recently expanded its line of eco friendly toys to include award-winning green games and toys sourced in Europe by leading toy wholesaler Asobi.co.uk. Eco friendly kids products represented by Asobi include Calafant's cardboard toys, Bioviva's eco-friendly board games, Kidsonroof's popular Casa Cabana and other play house designs and Merry Mache's festive decorations. Mimimyne hopes that this new range will appeal to customers looking for eco friendly toys and games to buy for their families and friends this Christmas.
