Myrtle Beach, SC (PRWEB) October 1, 2009
All five Legends golf courses along the Grand Strand have been recognized by Golf World readers as some of the best in the state and the nation. The 2010 Golf World Readers Choice Awards, which went online September 23, ranks the five courses among best in S.C. in the "State By State Recognition" section of the awards listing. Just 34 SC golf facilities were recognized out of more than 360 in the state. The Legends courses are Heathland at Legends Golf & Resort, Moorland at Legends Golf & Resort, Parkland at Legends Golf & Resort, Legends' Oyster Bay Golf Links and Legends' Heritage Club.
More than 46,000 evaluations by Golf World readers formed the basis for the awards. Readers judged facilities based on 13 criteria including quality of the course, conditioning, reputation/prestige, value and speed of play.
"This award is especially gratifying because it represents the views of actual golfers who've visited and played here,"said Larry Woodberry, Legends director of operations.. "As Golf World reported, this is a true populist list. We appreciate the acknowledgement and we'll keep working to ensure that those who play the Legends have a great golf experience."
