It's important to get help, and I want to support those associations that help women who were victimized.

Pierrette Wingfield, founder of http://www.WingfieldSelfDefense.com, is committed to educating other women on how to protect themselves from danger.
"While it's a shame, it's true that women are more often the targets of violence than men," said Wingfield. "It's important that women have the means to protect themselves when confronted with a dangerous situation, and I provide the equipment and information to do so."
Wingfield offers a comprehensive selection of self defense and home protection equipment, and believes her products fulfill a twofold purpose: protection in the event of danger, and improved confidence. "Just having these products can help women feel safer walking at night or living alone," added Wingfield.
In addition to providing self defense and home protection equipment, Wingfield plans to teach self defense techniques and offer safety advice through her new blog at http://www.SelfProtectionInfo.com.
"When it comes to self defense products, a lot of women have questions about how to use the equipment, where to use it and when it's appropriate," said Wingfield. "I want to answer all those questions, and also provide information about a few basic self defense techniques, as well as tips on how to stay safe," she added.
Wingfield has big plans for her website, and at a later date plans to donate a portion of her profits to associations that offer aid to battered women.
"I ran into some trouble in my younger years, and I know how hard it can be to overcome those kinds of difficult situations without help," said Wingfield. "It's important to get help, and I want to support those associations that help women who were victimized."
While Wingfield focuses on women's self defense, her self defense equipment and home protection products are suitable for both women and men, and above all, she wants all people to be safe and live free from fear. "We all have the right to protect ourselves and live out our lives without having to worry about becoming a victim," said Wingfield.
