We'll be adding more fine jewelry, especially gold jewelry, and we're also hoping to expand our selection of gifts for him and her
Rockford, IL (PRWEB) October 1, 2009
When William Carlon, his wife and mother-in-law closed down their Chicago area jewelry store due to a weakening economy, the three soon found themselves looking for a way to continue their business.
"It didn't make financial sense to keep our store open, what with the costs of rent, security and inventory," said William. "But then my wife got the idea that we could launch a website, and still offer jewelry but also expand into other markets," he added.
William soon founded http://www.LongsJewelryAndBricABrac.com, and while the website boasts an impressive collection of fine jewelry, it also offers several other accessories for the home.
"Our focus is still fine jewelry, but we have a lot of other accessories I'm excited about like our decorative wall clocks, dragon figurines and metal wind chimes," said William. "I tend to let my wife and mother-in-law handle the jewelry, while I get to deal more with the home décor."
William also plans to expand the website in the near future. "We'll be adding more fine jewelry, especially gold jewelry, and we're also hoping to expand our selection of gifts for him and her," said William.
In order to discuss a wide range of topics related to jewelry, including polishing techniques, guidelines for storage and tips for matching outfits and accessories, William created a new blog at http://www.SpeakingOfJewelry.com.
"My wife and mother-in-law plan to discuss all things jewelry on the blog, and also answer questions from customers about specific pieces from the website," said William. "The blog will be focused on jewelry, but I will also be discussing interior decorating, and some of my favorite decor from the website."
Whether looking for a great selection of jewelry or the latest interior decorating options for the home, William's website is the perfect place to start.
