About STANDUP FOR KIDS:
STANDUP FOR KIDS is a national non-profit volunteer outreach organization, now in 43 cities, dedicated to going to the streets and making a difference in the lives of at-risk, homeless and street kids. Their mission is to help homeless and street kids. They carry out their mission through volunteers who go to the streets in order to find, stabilize and otherwise help homeless and street kids improve their lives.
Their focus goes beyond street outreach and extends to deterrence and resource programs that they provide in schools and via the internet. But all facets of their mission are guided by the mandate that their volunteers shall tell kids they care about them and then, at every point, prove it.
