e-Builder will present on the benefits of web-based construction management software as they relate to program management firms

e-Builder, the leading provider of integrated capital program and project management software, announced today that Mr. Jonathan N. Antevy, e-Builder Co-Founder & CEO, and Mr. Leon Barkan, VP of Program/Construction Management for Volkert & Associates, will speak at the Construction Management Association of America's National Conference and Tradeshow on Leveraging Web-Based Program and Project Management Information Systems to Increase Productivity and Competitive Advantage. The conference will be held in Orlando on October 25th-27th 2009, and will host over 1,000 construction management professionals.

The insights shared will be based on the experiences of Volkert, one of the leading engineering design firms in the nation. The presentation will focus on how organizations like Volkert, which execute capital programs on behalf of facility owner/operators, can use web-based project information management systems to complement sound business processes, and manage more projects without increasing headcount to achieve a competitive advantage.

Volkert is the program manager for the Birmingham County School District's $557 million bond program, and has leveraged e-Builder's program management software to establish standardized, automated processes and internal controls that have translated into shorter cycle times and more consistent processes. These improvements have led to streamlined schedules and lower project costs for Volkert's clients.

Some of the takeaways from the presentation include: achieving productivity gains to allow existing resources to take on more tasks; gaining complete visibility into cost, schedule and cash flow to eliminate avoidable project delays and cost overruns; and leveraging information management best practices to improve decision-making.
