Vemma Nutrition Company, a growing international force in the health and wellness industry, announced that the independent clinical study on Vemma has been published. The randomized, double blinded, placebo-controlled study assessed 59 healthy human subjects who consumed either the commercially available mangosteen product, Vemma, or a matching placebo for 30 days. The clinical findings support that Vemma enhanced the subjects' immune function and state of well being. These results and discussion of the study are published in the Journal of Medicinal Food entitled, "Effect of a Mangosteen Dietary Supplement on Human Immune Function: A Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Trial," Volume 12, Issue 4, August, 2009.

Although dietary supplement companies are not mandated to fund research studies, Vemma Nutrition Company did not hesitate in putting their flagship liquid antioxidant formula, Vemma, to the test. "We continually hear positive testimonials from our customers, which is why we opted to obtain clinical substantiation for our product," said BK Boreyko, Vemma President and CEO. "The findings not only set us apart from other supplement companies, but give consumers validation that Vemma is an efficacious formula for overall health and wellness."

Brunswick Laboratories, a renowned independent lab, conducted the study. Based on each participant's blood chemistry test and self-questionnaire, the xanthone-rich Vemma significantly enhanced immune responses, indicated improvement in overall health and produced a reduction in C-reactive protein (CRP), a general marker for inflammation.* Furthermore, the research scientists also stated that, "Our finding is intriguing because adoption of small amounts of a product into the habitual diet is a dietary modification that is easy to continue, and therefore may be a promising behavioral approach to improve nutritional health status." This echoes Vemma's fundamental philosophy to improve lives through proper nutrition and the ability to easily incorporate its physician formulated, bioavailable products into one's lifestyle.

In response to the trial results, Vemma Research Director and Product Developer, Yibing Wang, M.D., Ph.D. said, "As a scientist and medical doctor, I formulated Vemma to be a results-driven and potent antioxidant formula. The quantifiable data and positive results obtained from the clinical study attest that consuming Vemma on a daily basis strengthens the body's natural immune defenses which can lead people to overcome health challenges, maintain their vitality and improve overall quality of life.*"
