MedShare and Qualicode Bring BlackBerry Mobile EMR to Quebec
MedShare announced today an agreement with Qualicode Inc. to provide MedShare™ for BlackBerry® to the home health care industry in the Province of Quebec. The partnership brings Canada's leading BlackBerry point of care solution to Qualicode's predominantly French customers.

Qualicode Inc. is the software leader in Quebec for Agency Management software, offering innovative solutions like QCardex and QT for time and attendance in the home care and security industries. Qualicode and MedShare have created the first bilingual version of MedShare for BlackBerry, providing the revolutionary mobile point of care solution in both English and French. This "made in Canada" solution features two leading Health IT software firms utilizing the popular BlackBerry device manufactured by Research in Motion® based out of Waterloo, Ontario.
This collaborative solution will offer the home care workers in Quebec access to the same leading edge mobile technology that other MedShare customers across the country are using. MedShare will work with Qualicode QT to provide 100% availability to patient demographics, appointment scheduling, care plans, treatment notes, travel expense calculation, real-time mapping and integrated email and phone services.
Several of Canada's largest home care agencies are using MedShare for BlackBerry to increase administrative efficiency and to support their health care workers with access to patient information, diagnosis, risks, service plans and clinical documentation tools. MedShare's central Electronic Home Care Record (EHCR) integrates with the agency's existing billing and scheduling software. Once connected, the patient information is extended into a longitudinal EHCR and made available on mobile devices, the BlackBerry and/or tablet computers. The store and forward design provides clinicians 100% availability of health records, medical orders and care documentation tools. The central EHCR architecture allows the agency to implement care teams and multi-disciplinary care based on a shared health record.
MedShare will be joining Qualicode at the Salon Informatique-Santé, Centre des Congrès de Québec in Quebec City, Quebec on October 1 and 2nd to demonstrate the latest version at the Qualicode booth. Salon Informatique-Santé is the premier technology tradeshow in Quebec for the healthcare system in the province.
