SignaCert to co-sponsor and participate in a panel discussion at McAfee FOCUS 09 Security Conference

Adherence to greater compliance, governance and compliance requirements are increasingly challenging for our customers in all segments

SignaCert, a leading provider of whitelist content, methods and solutions, today announced that as part of the McAfee® Security Innovation Alliance™ (SIA) partner program, they will participate as Bronze Sponsors of the McAfee FOCUS 09 Security Conference. In addition, SignaCert CEO & Founder, Wyatt Starnes, will participate in the panel discussion entitled "Visibility and Velocity - Unlocking the Value of Integrated Solutions". Along with Mr. Starnes, Ed Barry (Sr. Director SIA, McAfee), Bill Hunka (Director Business Development, Absolute Software), and Jeff Scheel (Sr. VP Business Development, ArcSight) will participate in this panel discussion.

As part of its participation in the McAfee SIA program, SignaCert will integrate management of its known-provenance whitelist content from the Global Trust Repository (GTR) with the McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator® (ePO™) console, enabling customers to benefit from whitelist-based image management methods delivered through the McAfee ePO platform. In the panel presentation, Mr. Starnes will discuss how SignaCert will work with McAfee to deliver the benefits of better security and compliance as well as lowering the cost of ownership for enterprise customers.

SignaCert's integration with ePO will allow customers to manage SignaCert`s whitelist-based reference configuration and policies via the ePO console. In particular, the integration will leverage the ePO framework to deploy and configure SignaCert agents on ePO-managed endpoints, providing joint customers a seamless and centralized reporting and management experience. This integration will complement McAfee's existing content, policy and compliance offerings in the rapidly emerging whitelist product arena. SignaCert's known-provenance whitelist content and delivery methods are delivered via standardized web services.

"Adherence to greater compliance, governance and compliance requirements are increasingly challenging for our customers in all segments," said Wyatt Starnes, SignaCert Founder and CEO. "Whitelisting methods should be considered a baseline requirement to address operational compliance needs and provide defense in depth for security and operational management purposes. We look forward to integrating management of our patented whitelisting capabilities within the ePO console to help our joint customers maintain the highest level of IT device assurance and compliance across their critical IT environment."

The ePO console is the first platform that lets enterprises and governments centrally manage security and compliance products from multiple vendors, offering unprecedented cost savings and return on investment. With more than 35,000 customers and managing close to 60 million PCs and servers, this unique platform is helping McAfee SIA partners to extend their reach and create complementary functionality. "SignaCert is a valuable addition to the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance," said Ed Barry, senior director of the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance. "By enabling management using the ePO console, our common customers will benefit from SignaCert's whitelist content and monitoring capabilities, which extend our own capabilities in this area, all while leveraging our simplified management approach to multivendor solutions."
