Scotsman Guide Unveils a New Look and Logo

The national mortgage publications have an updated logo and design, along with a new company name.

Mortgage brokers who read Scotsman Guide will notice some key differences when they receive their October issues of the magazine's commercial and residential editions. The magazines, still the leading resource for mortgage originators, have been redesigned and feature a new Scotsman Guide logo.

In addition to the magazines' new look and feel -- which includes a redesigned cover, tables of contents and lender matrixes, as well as a new typeface for articles to aid readability online -- the company behind the award-winning mortgage-industry magazines has a new name. To better reflect its standing as an all-encompassing media company with print and online products, the publishing company, previously Scotsman Publishing Inc., is now Scotsman Guide Media.

The changes go beyond the print magazines. Their digital-magazine counterparts -- everything published in print, accessible in a Web browser (and separate from scotsmanguide.com) -- also have a new user interface. This enhancement gives users the ability to share content, post pages on various social-media sites, e-mail pages or create custom widgets. They also can download the magazine as a PDF for offline reading. The site, accessible through http://www.scotsmanguide.com/digitalmag, also is optimized for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Founded in 1984, Scotsman Guide Media publishes a residential edition and a commercial edition of Scotsman Guide, in addition to Scotsman Guide Loan Post and other platforms at scotsmanguide.com. The magazines are also available in digital format. Each month, the magazines reach tens of thousands of subscribers nationwide. Scotsman Guide is the leading resource for mortgage originators, connecting mortgage brokers with wholesale lenders.
