Avonline plc Announces the Appointment of Steve Knott as Executive Chairman

Steve, who was previously Managing Director of HMV, joins the Senior Management Team at Avonline from 1st October.

Avonline plc today announced the appointment of Steve Knott as Executive Chairman from 1st October 2009. Steve joins the long established Senor Management Team of Mark Wynn (Managing Director); Helen Drew (Financial Director); Richard Hale (Director of Installations); Trevor Thomas (Director of Business Services) and David Rogers (Head of Business Development).

Mark Wynn, Managing Director, commented, "With Avonline's Senior Management Team having worked closely together for the last decade, bringing Steve into the team is a key strategic development for the business. Adding Steve to our leadership team brings a wealth of first class business knowledge and experience which both complement and enhance our existing skills."

In previous roles, Steve was Managing Director of HMV UK & Ireland, Managing Director of Waterstones and Managing Director of World Duty Free Europe (BAA). Mark added, "Through leading these major organisations over many years, Steve has developed a broad range of skills which will enhance those of the established senior management in many areas including strategy and business development, sales and marketing and people development."
