CapeCodOnline received top honors in five of nine online categories at this fall's New England Associated Press News Executives Association fall conference. Awards were presented at the Sheraton Providence Airport Hotel in Warwick, RI on September 25.
CapeCodOnline.com won top Overall Site honors and was noted for the "clean and organized layout" of its breaking news content, special features and photos. The site's "sophisticated mix of international, national and local news" also won it first place in the News Presentation category.
Judge's noted CapeCodOnline's unique local coverage of the passing of Senator Ted Kennedy, saying it "rivals anything else on the Internet" and awarding it first place for Special Sections. The site's Entertainment Section also won first place for its strength in presenting unique and thorough local coverage - especially its "awesome blogs." In the multimedia category, CapeCodOnline's Cape Cast won top honors for Video.

The Cape Cod Media Group won a total of 18 awards, including six first place awards for print work by its renowned daily newspaper, the Cape Cod Times.
