New website showcases high end, custom made game tables that are crafted with the avid chess player in mind.

Wolfe Product Development (http://www.wolfepd.com), a casual outlet for gifted engineer John Wolfe, announced today the launch of http://www.JWChess.com. The new website provides an outlet to effectively showcase the company's line of unique chess tables - which are hand crafted and can be manufactured custom to order.

Chess tables from J.W. Chess are unique in that carefully constructed designs utilize simple mechanics to solve problems created by unfinished chess matches; they convert from an elegant coffee, end, or even dinner table to an elegant chess table in just a few simple steps; chess pieces on an inlaid chess board are not touched during the process. Customers are given the option to choose the style of their table, the wood used for manufacture, and among many other options they can even add a biometric locking device so that their chess set really stays both hidden and secure when the table is in its closed position. They can utilize their own, existing chess board or a new one can be built or ordered for them.

While the idea of a secured, convertible chess table is not new, inventor John Wolfe was driven by his passions for both engineering and chess to perfect product design in order to turn a good idea into a great product. He was granted a patent in 2004 and founded WolfeGame Enterprises. The J.W. Chess brand was initiated earlier this year as a reflection of a change in strategy, and represents the next generation of WolfeGame Enterprises. A prime objective is to take a great product and to brand it and present it in a manner that will better communicate value to the market.

"Months ago, I came across John's chess tables and immediately saw their worth. They fulfilled a clear purpose, boasted high quality craftsmanship, and there was nothing like them on the market," explains Bill Goldblatt, Assistant Strategic Director for the J.W. Chess brand. "However, the true worth of these tables is not easily communicated remotely and previous marketing efforts were not getting the job done. The new J.W. Chess site aims to better communicate worth, and the brand has been designed to appeal to cultured chess players who appreciate the value of our tables' craftsmanship, function, durability, and elegance."

While demo units are available for less, custom made tables generally range from around $3,000 to $10,000 and up depending on a customer's exact criteria. And while these "chess tables" are designed to serve the needs of chess players, they can also make for wine coolers, safes, miscellaneous game tables, or even event display furniture. They are covered by U.S. patent 6,766,747, which may be available for license in select situations. Information regarding licensing opportunities, or more information regarding J.W. Chess, can be obtained by contacting John Wolfe at john@jwchess.com.
