The Trusted Trade Institute (TTI) announces the US launch of a comprehensive set of courses for trade professionals wishing to expand their knowledge and understanding of international trade, security and customs issues, and to keep pace with the latest trends and developments.

Bryce Blegen, Managing Director, North America of the Trusted Trade Institute, in discussing the relevance and practical application of the courses in today's international trading environment stated: "the need for high-quality, coherent training on the requirements and practical aspects of trade across multiple jurisdictions has become essential, now more than ever when the trade implications of the global financial crisis are putting pressure on margins. The offerings of the Trusted Trade Institute are designed by the world leaders in this educational sector to fill a longstanding need felt by US companies and service providers alike, and incorporate internationally recognized standards and best practice in relation to international trade and supply chain management."

TTI's foundations as a provider of quality, tailored training are unparalleled. The coursework of the Trusted Trade Institute is derived from the programs of noted internationally recognized institutions including the University of Muenster, the Centre for Customs and Excise Studies, University of Canberra, and Europe's prestigious Foreign Trade Academy.

Prof. Dr. Hans-Michael Wolffgang, the founder of the Foreign Trade Academy, stated: "We know from the experience of the many thousands who have completed our courses, that their improved skills and efficiencies gained through our courses work ensures a competitive advantage for their employers."

TTI's coursework is part of a certificate program which can be credited towards University graduate degree programs. It will be rolled out in selected major US cities starting in late 2009.

TTI is an affiliate of the International Network of Customs Universities. Professor David Widdowson, President of the INCU, has been personally involved in the development of the courses. According to Professor Widdowson, the courses "provide essential information and guidance for the corporate compliance manager, whether responsible for compliance on a national or global level".

The offerings of the Trusted Trade Institute range from introductory courses through to specialist seminars in which more complex issues are examined in detail. Learning is delivered via seminars held in key US cities, E-learning modules and webinars, as well as on-site practical training workshops.
