Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) today introduced a new product in home healthcare which uniquely combines the Philips Lifeline Medical Alert Service into a senior-friendly cordless phone. With Lifeline, seniors will have peace of mind knowing that access to help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the simple push of button while staying connected with their friends and families. Philips Lifeline is the only medical alert service to offer a senior-friendly cordless phone option.

The Philips Lifeline Cordless Phone Communicator is designed to support the independence of seniors with limitations in dexterity, vision or hearing. It is designed to be:

  • easy to dial, with large buttons for seniors with dexterity and vision challenges,
  • easy to read, with large, high-contrast displays for caller ID and dialing, and
