Multi-GHz RC Scrub-R test sockets employ a unique version of the patented RC Springprobe technology which is made from a proprietary material. This material eliminates the need for contact plating, a key source of wear in test sockets which can see as many as 12,000 cycles per hour in some automated environments.
A key feature of the RC Scrub R is the lack of board wear with repeated insertions. A static contact on the board side with a dynamic "Scrub" at the DUT side enables extremely long board usage and repeatable reliability over millions of mechanical insertions.
RC Scrub-R contacts are easily field replaceable, further extending the life of the product.
