Director of investment for the Henssler Financial Group among Georgia's Best and Brightest

The Henssler Financial Group is proud to announce that our Director of Investments, Theodore L. Parrish, CFA, has been named to Georgia Trend's "40 Under 40" list for 2009. Parrish will be recognized and honored at the "40 Under 40 -- Georgia's Best and Brightest" celebration on Oct. 21 at Greystone at Piedmont Park.

Each year the Georgia Trend editorial staff selects 40 high-achieving Georgians under the age of 40 who are influencing the state's future in business, government, education, the arts and charitable organizations.

In a record-setting level of participation, this year more than 350 readers nominated 165 candidates from around the state who are helping shape Georgia's future through their business and community involvement. The magazine's editors narrowed the list to the 40 best and brightest rising leaders.

Parrish is a Principal and the Director of Investments for The Henssler Financial Group, a money management and financial consulting firm based in Kennesaw, Ga. Since joining the firm in 1995, his responsibilities have come to include managing all research and trading activities for the firm. Ted advises on assets totaling more than $1.08 billion as of Sept. 30, 2009 for the firm, and is Co-Portfolio Manager, with Gene Henssler, Ph.D., of The Henssler Equity Fund (HEQFX).

"Georgia Trend's '40 Under 40' is a coveted recognition that measures past achievement and future potential," said Gene W. Henssler, Ph.D., President and CEO of The Henssler Financial Group. "I am extremely proud of Ted's accomplishments. I'm honored that he is an integral part of my team."

As a nationally recognized expert, Parrish has been asked to share his expertise in many media outlets. He has been interviewed by The Wall Street Journal, Investment News, Financial Times, Black Enterprise Magazine, and USA Today. He has appeared on CNBC, CNN, Fox News, Bloomberg Television and metro-Atlanta broadcast affiliates and corresponding Web sites.
