InventHelp®, America's leading inventor service company, announces that one of its clients, an inventor from Moorpark, Calif., has designed a sliding basket for a mailbox. This invention is patented.
The "Mail Mate" could provide quick and easy access to mail due to the sliding assembly. The design would make mail retrieval from a car more convenient as it would eliminate the hassle of exiting the vehicle or unbuckling a seat belt to reach the mail. The apparatus would be easy to use and may also be ideal for individuals who have limited mobility.
The Mail Mate would consist of a sliding tray and basket assembly that could mount to the inside or outside of a mailbox. The assembly would measure one inch high, 18 inches long and six inches wide. When the assembly is mounted to the inside, the tray and basket assembly would slide in and out from the stationary mailbox. A second design would feature the sliding rails, which would mount to the sides of the mailbox. A driver or passenger of a vehicle could grab the handle, pull the mailbox forward, open the door for mail access and then push the mailbox back to its original position when completed.
InventHelp® is attempting to submit the invention to companies for review. If substantial interest is expressed, the company will attempt to negotiate for a sale or royalties for the inventor.
