Hudson Valley Media Group is proud to announce that its daily newspaper, the Times Herald-Record, and specialty publications won 14 awards from the New York State Associated Press Association. Awards were given for writing, presentation and photography.
The newspaper won three first-place awards. In the multimedia category, "Delaware Drownings" was produced by reporters Adam Bosch, Stephen Sacco and Victor Whitman and videographer John Pertel. Third place awards included honors in the beat reporting, depth reporting, and online content categories - including ongoing staff coverage of "The Search for Laura Garza."
"The 14 awards from the state AP Association reflects the breadth of talent in the Times Herald-Record newsroom, from reporters to online editors to photographers," said Adrianne Reilly, senior editor/local news.
