Avonline plc, the UK's leading Digital Switchover specialist, has been awarded the highest CAI membership level - CAI plus. The new membership will initially run for 3 years to September 2012. This latest recognition compliments the existing ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 accreditations that the company has held going back to 1989.
The Confederation of Aerial Industries (CAI) launched the higher membership to provide additional confidence for the public that the engineers who worked for companies with the CAI plus award are trained, professional and regulated to the highest standard.
In order to obtain this recognition the engineers have to gain recognition as Accredited Digital Installers. This process involves meeting a number of requirements including criminal record checks, working at heights safety training and other additional skills training.
Avonline plc has specialist Digital Switchover teams across the UK who plan, install and commission cost-effective, high performance, Digital Communal Aerial systems that deliver a full range of digital terrestrial and satellite TV, FM & DAB radio. Recently, the company also announced the release of it's IRSNet (broadband over IRS) product aimed specifically at the public and social housing sector. IRSNet allows every resident in a multiple dwelling unit to receive broadband connectivity.
Richard Hale, Director of Installations for Avonline, said, "At Avonline, we are committed to helping both the private and public sector meet the Digital Britain's objective of 2MB broadband for everyone. The award of the CAI plus membership status reflects the high quality of our engineers who are working with our clients on digital solutions. "
