Online building materials company BuildDirect has launched a contest driven by Twitter and Facebook to win a DeWalt miter saw, a Roberts jamb saw, and all of the accessories necessary for a do-it-yourself wood flooring installation. The deadline of the contest is October 30, 2009.
The reason for the contest is simple; to reward site visitors, fans of the company, and followers on Twitter, for engaging with company content, and also with company personnel. It's also for the purposes of getting useful content about building materials in front of more people than ever before.

This wins any Twitter user who 're-tweets' one chance to win the flooring kit worth $700 Canadian, which includes the power saws, safety equipment, tape measure, a pull bar, and more. "And if you become a new fan of our Facebook page, you get five chances to win the floor kit," Rob explains. "After that, the more you 'retweet' our tweets with the #FloorKit hashtag, the more chances you have of winning. It's easy."
