Vancouver, WA (PRWEB) October 7, 2009
FuelOnly Inc. announced today that it will offer Cold Soak Filtration Testing in order to help biodiesel producers comply with recently updated ASTM D6751 regulations for certification of biodiesel. Effective October 1, 2009, ASTM officially mandated inclusion of the test.
"The integrity and quality of biodiesel has always been a major concern in the United States," said Mark Artalejo, president of FuelOnly. "All biodiesel produced is required to pass ASTM D6751 certification, which in the past included, but did not actually mandate Cold Soak Filtration Testing as part of the testing protocol."
The Cold Soak Filtration Test was designed by ASTM to check and prevent any precipitation of solid materials in biodiesel in order to minimize poor quality fuel being sold by biodiesel producers. With winter just around the corner, producers are gearing up to make sure their biodiesel is able to withstand the coming cold temperatures. The inclusion of the Cold Soak Filtration Test is critical in ensuring that biodiesel products meet the cold weather criteria.
