You can't be too prepared for a possible zombie uprising
Blaine, Minn. (PRWEB) October 9, 2009
New poster-size shooting targets of ghoulish zombies are now available and distributed exclusively from Law Enforcement Targets for the growing market of shooting enthusiasts nationwide.
Zombie Ammo branded targets are realistically rendered depictions of the "living dead" that are both fun to shoot and useful for improving firearms skills. Five new targets include hot zombie chicks (Becky and Roxie), zombie soldiers (Hans and Frans), and Jimmy (the outdoorsman thought lost in the woods), which are being distributed to thousands of ranges across the country.
"The growing sales of firearms among enthusiasts have led us to expand our product line to better serve our shooting range customers," says Tom Ahonen, CEO of Law Enforcement Targets. "The zombie targets were designed to add more fun to shooting practice and league events than the more traditional bull's-eye, scoring and sighting targets used for law enforcement training," he says.
According to a September news release issued by the National Shooting Sports Foundation: "Data released by the FBI's National Instant Criminal Background Check System reported 1,074,757 checks in August 2009. This figure is a 12.3% increase from the 956,872 reported in August 2008 and demonstrates that sale of new and used firearms are remaining strong and continuing to grow."
Tom Martin, general manager of Bill's Gun Shop and Range in Robbinsdale, Minn., says: "Customers have responded very positively to the new zombie targets. We featured these targets at our recent open house and customers appreciated having something new and fun to shoot."
Produced locally, the full-color zombie poster targets -- 23 inches by 35 inches in size -- can be purchased for as low at $0.69 each. They feature shaded scoring lines in both head and brain that cannot be seen at shooting distances, which benefits league competitions.
"You can't be too prepared for a possible zombie uprising," says Yuri Selby-Pfahl, director of marketing and business operations for http://ZombieAmmo.com, designers of the new targets.
