CogniFit, Inc., a leading maker of Brain Fitness Software programs (, announced today that its cognitive training was honored in three categories in the 2009 New Product & Technology Awards. This recognition is presented by the Mature Market Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for the senior market, and is the first awards program of its kind to recognize the most innovative products and services for older adults and their families.

The CogniFit training program received awards in the Fitness, Computer Technology and Prevention/Health Maintenance categories. CogniFit Personal Coach is scientifically proven and validated brain fitness software designed to keep people mentally sharp, healthy and active throughout their lives. The software uses a baseline assessment to define a personalized training program that improves cognitive abilities that are susceptible to aging. Entries were judged by a distinguished panel of mature market experts from across the United States for overall excellence of design, content, creativity and relevance to the senior market. Judges considered how appropriate and user-friendly the products are for an older adult audience, including device assembly, set up, and ease-of-use. They also took into account how beneficial the product or technology will be to the user and/or their family and whether the product fills a need within the market.
