RacersReunion Memory Lane Hall of Fame will induct fifteen on October 10, 2009. This inaugural ceremony will be conducted by Gentleman Ned Jarrett with assistance from Bobby Allison.

Memory Lane Museum on highway 150 in Mooresville, NC houses one of the largest private collections of antique cars and vintage race cars in the country. Alex Beam and family have been building this amazing collection for the past forty years. The museum has been the site of benefits held to assist racing participants from the sport's formative years as drivers and fans unite to support those in need. On Saturday October 10, 2009 at 11:00 AM they will unite yet again…this time to honor fifteen racing pioneers from those early years. The ten living and five posthumous inductees are: Dave Marcis, Neil Castles, Marvin Panch, Paul Lewis, Sam Ard, Paul Goldsmith, Buddy Arrington, Jake Elder, Dink Widenhouse, James Hylton, Wendell Scott, Elmo Langley, Gene Glover, G.C. Spencer, and Herman Beam.

"This has been a dream for some time", said Hall of Fame founder, Jeff Gilder. "When I approached Alex (Beam) about housing the hall in his museum, he was all for it. We host and participate in several events each year to re-connect racing participants from the past with their fans while bringing recognition to the fact that many of the early racers need financial and medical assistance. Each year we lose some of these legendary drivers. We want to preserve and celebrate their contributions to the sport with RacersReunion Memory Lane Hall of Fame." Gilder also founded the popular social network, RacersReunion.com.

Some of NASCAR's current participants stepped forward to support this grass roots effort. Safety Solutions of Mooresville, NC is the event's primary sponsor. Greg Biffle, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Richard Petty, David Ragan, and Trevor Boys are among those who sponsor this event.
Tickets are available at Memory Lane Museum. An autograph session will follow the induction ceremony. Details can be found at http://www.RacersReunion.com.
